In plain terms: When you click a link to a streaming service on StreamingFixPro and subscribe, we may earn a small commission from that service's affiliate programme. It costs you nothing extra. We disclose this on every single page, not just here. Our editorial scores and rankings are not influenced by commission rates — we rank services based on genuine assessment of their value to readers. This page explains everything in full.
What Is Affiliate Marketing?
Affiliate marketing is a way for website publishers to earn revenue by referring readers to products or services. When a publisher (us) includes a special affiliate link on their site, and a reader clicks that link and makes a qualifying purchase, the publisher receives a commission from the merchant (in our case, the streaming service or its affiliate network).
This commission is paid by the merchant to the publisher. It does not add any cost to what the reader pays. If you subscribe to Paramount+ for $8.99/month after clicking a link on our site, you pay exactly $8.99/month — the same as if you had gone directly to the Paramount+ website. StreamingFixPro receives a separate, one-time commission from Paramount+ or its affiliate network as a referral fee.
Affiliate marketing is a standard and widely used way for independent editorial websites, blogs, and review publications to fund their operations without charging readers for access.
How Affiliate Links Work on StreamingFixPro
You Read Our Review or Comparison
You visit StreamingFixPro and read one of our reviews, comparison articles, or deals pages. Our content is written independently by our editorial team based on personal testing and genuine assessment.
You Click an Affiliate Link
If you decide to try a streaming service, you may click a button or link on our site labelled something like "Visit Paramount+" or "Go to Netflix". These links contain a unique tracking code that identifies you as coming from StreamingFixPro.
You Subscribe (or Don't)
You are taken directly to the streaming service's official website. If you choose to subscribe, you deal directly with the streaming service. Your subscription terms, pricing, and account are entirely between you and the service — StreamingFixPro is not involved.
We Receive a Commission
If you subscribe, the streaming service or its affiliate network pays StreamingFixPro a commission — typically a flat fee per new subscriber referred. This commission is paid by the service, not deducted from your subscription. You pay exactly the same price as if you had gone directly to the service.
The Commission Funds Our Editorial Work
Affiliate revenue funds the time our editorial team spends researching, testing, and writing reviews. Without affiliate income, we would need to either charge readers for access or rely on advertising — neither of which fits our approach. Affiliate commissions let us keep the site free and ad-free for readers.
Which Services Have Affiliate Relationships
StreamingFixPro has affiliate relationships with some of the streaming services we cover. Below is an honest list of services where we may earn a commission when a reader subscribes via our site. This list is updated whenever our affiliate arrangements change.
Not every link on our site is an affiliate link. Some links — such as links to our own pages, links to pricing verification sources, or links referenced in our editorial content — are standard links with no affiliate tracking. Where a link is an affiliate link, we have a site-wide disclosure on every page and do not mark individual links separately.
How This Affects — and Does Not Affect — Our Reviews
This is the part that matters most. Here is an explicit, honest breakdown of what our affiliate relationships do and do not affect:
| Question | Answer | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Do commission rates affect our scores? | No | Scores are set by our reviewing editor using defined criteria, reviewed by a second team member, and finalised before we consider any affiliate setup for a service. |
| Do commission rates affect our rankings? | No | Paramount+ is ranked #1 because our team genuinely assessed it as the best overall value in 2026 — not because of its commission rate. We would rank it #1 regardless. |
| Do affiliate partners influence our content? | No | No streaming service has editorial access to our reviews before publication. No service has ever successfully requested that we change a score or soften a negative. |
| Have we declined partnerships to protect editorial standards? | Yes | We have turned down partnership arrangements whose terms would have required editorial adjustments or restricted what we could write. |
| Do we review services without affiliate relationships? | Yes | We review services regardless of whether we have an affiliate arrangement. If a major service is relevant to our readers, we cover it. |
| Do we write negative content about affiliate partners? | Yes | Our reviews include honest criticism. Every review on our site contains a "Cons" section. We call out price increases, quality declines, and limitations directly. |
| Do we accept payment for positive reviews? | No | Never. No payment has ever been accepted in exchange for a positive review, a score adjustment, or featured placement on this site. |
| Does clicking a link cost you more? | No | You pay the same price as going directly to the service. The commission is paid by the service from their marketing budget, not charged to the subscriber. |
Our Editorial Independence Promises
We made these commitments when we launched in April 2025 and have held to all of them:
Editorial scores are determined by our reviewing editors using published criteria. No streaming service, affiliate network, or advertiser has any input into our scores or rankings.
We subscribe to every service we review at the standard consumer rate. No complimentary access, no press accounts. Our experience mirrors exactly what a regular subscriber receives.
We disclose affiliate relationships on every page of this site — at the top in a banner, not buried in a policy document. Transparency is a minimum standard, not a favour.
We have declined partnership terms that would have compromised our editorial independence. Revenue is never worth misrepresenting a product to our readers.
Your Choices as a Reader
You are never obligated to use our affiliate links. If you prefer to subscribe to a streaming service by going directly to their website, you are absolutely free to do so. Our reviews and recommendations are genuinely intended to help you make a good decision — not solely to generate commission clicks.
If you find our content helpful and want to support StreamingFixPro at no cost to yourself, using our links when you subscribe is the most effective way to do so. But it is entirely your choice, and we thank you either way for reading.
